John is a Jr. High/HighSchool drama/english teacher, and spent many years as a young lad on stage in local theatre productions.
John was the first SkippyShorts puppeteer, starring as Skippy himself! John is a master at improvinizational comedy, and comes up with all the wacky things Skippy says on the fly!
Being a music lover, John writes a lot of the music and lyrics to the tunes and parody songs that show up in Skippy's videos.

Aaron is a professional web & graphics designer. His early years were spent making movies with his classmates and puppeteering.
Aaron films and edits most all of the Skippy Videos, and is responsible for their "quick cut" style. Later in the series, Aaron began puppeteering Finney and as time went by he and John added a multitude of other characters to the cast.
Aaron is the company cartoonist and draws the character art you see in our website. He also designs and manages our websites, SkippyShorts, NearFar Productions, and The Puppet Mill.

Lifelong friend of Aaron & John, Trevor has been a center figure in Aaron's short films. Trevor is always available to play a background character, and has appeared several times in SkippyShorts as Hobo Joe!

John's Brother, Matt has worked with NearFar as a musician and actor, and trained with them as a puppeteer. Matt composed several songs for them, including the music for the Obama Vs. Mccain Rap Battle!

David grew up with John Barger and the two of them share an off-beat sense of humor. He is a dread-locked beast of a man, which made him perfect to play the BROUT MONSTER! David assists NearFar from time to time with his insane acting antics, and has even performed a puppet or two!

Peter is a professional video editor / producer, and runs his own productions company, Cinelever Films. Peter came along side John & Aaron to assist them with their filming and editing, and spearheaded their TV SHOW PILOT project, hiring the staff, producing, directing, and editing it. Peter is currently promoting SkippyShorts and Nearfar's other projects to Hollywood.
